Good evening, as DCD chantdances in the background. I'm new to the LJ stuff, courtesy of Keeley Keena, by way of being the ISO. I just friended you and would appreciate you adding my journal as well? I plan to update atleast once a week, usually in the way of poetics or prose (frenzied bop prosody).

Just curious; why Clotho of the three, instead of Lachesis or Atropos? Though logically, the weaving is more appealing than the measuring or the cutting.

Hello, Kat's mate, and welcome, though for now there's not much to welcome you to. I apologise for the tardiness of the reply, but I have friended you! I shall enjoy reading your frenzied bop prosody and anything else that appears on your journal (tell Kat thumbs up on the design ... I should hire her!)

Clotho? The weaving part strikes me as the most creative of the Moirae's tasks. And while writers (and others) might easily be seen to measure and cut life, those just felt less writerly to me when compared to the metaphor of spinning life's threads. That said, I do like Atropos' name better.
